‘Akira Nishino is doing everything he can to defeat Vietnam’, said Thailand assistant coach

Thailand assistant coach Anurak Sikerd believes manager Akira Nishino is doing everything for Thailand to defeat Vietnam in the World Cup 2022 qualifier, speaking to the media.

Thailand’s assistant coach Anurak Sikerd said head coach Akira Nishino is seeking all ways and means to defeat Vietnam in the upcoming World Cup 2022 qualifier..

Sikerd told the media that Nishino’s talent and experience will help Thailand in their tough away match against Vietnam on November 19.

“We must be under a lot of pressure from thousands of Vietnamese spectators but with Nishino, we will play confidently,” he said.

The Vietnam vs Thailand match will be crucial for both Thailand and Vietnam which currently rank first and second in group G respectively.

Nishino named some new players, including Picha Utra, Chayawat Srinawong, and Teerapong Deehamhae to prepare for the match.

“Picha Utra is a quality player. Nishino told me that he will play an important role in upcoming matches. Chayawat and Teerapong promise to bring many surprises. Nishino is well prepared for three points at My Dinh stadium,” said the 44-year-old assistant coach.

Vietnam will host Thailand at 8:00pm on Nov 14.
