Speaking recently, Mr. Duc - the owner of HAGL affirmed that Phuong's farewell to Incheon United is a good thing for Vietnam striker’s career.

Recently, Incheon United has officially announced to end the contract with striker Nguyen Cong Phuong. This team wants Vietnam striker to find a new suitable berth.

In response to the press about the announcement of Incheon Utd, Doan Nguyen Duc, HAGL president revealed the desire is from Cong Phuong and HAGL. Specifically, Bau Duc and his colleagues decided to act before King's Cup 2019, to save his career.

Mr Duc-HAGL President

Mr. Duc shared: "HAGL club has actively terminated the contract with Incheon United. I think this is a must do for Cong Phuong to have a better place, instead of being under pressure at Incheon United.

I think this will be good for Cong Phuong. This is the reason for HAGL to decide to end the contract for Cong Phuong. I will not return to play HAGL but have another stop. At the moment, I cannot say in advance where Cong Phuong will be, because everything is still not official".

With impressive performance at 2019 Asian Cup, Cong Phuong was recruited by Incheon United with a 1-year contract. However, the Vietnamese striker was unable to integrate with Incheon United's play.

Specifically, after 352 minutes of playing at K.League, Cong Phuong failed to score any goals and only 3 finishes (each averaging 117 minutes ). Obviously, it is absolutely necessary to withdraw Cong Phuong.
