Hongkong’s giant set to play a friendly match in Vietnam

To prepare for the new season, Hongkong side Kitchee FC will visit Vietnam in a few days for a match campaign on August.

Kitchee is the one of the oldest clubs in Kongkong, The club has won the Hong Kong Premier League three times in the League's 4-year history, the Hong Kong First Division six times, and the Hong Kong FA Cup four times in their history.

Recently, Kitchee board has announced its summer campaign. Notably, The Hongkong team is going to visit Vietnam in mid-August to encounter in friendly matches with Viettel FC and U22 Vietnam on August 13, 15 respectively.

Before heading to Vietnam, Kitchee will go matching to South Korea to in the friendlies with Busan Transportation Corporation and AFC Champions League 2009 Pohang Steelers on July 16, 17 then takes a rest in Hongkong for a week and welcome the defending champions of UEFA Champions League, Manchester City on their home field Mong Kok.

Kitchee has much experience in conquering AFC Champions League and AFC Cup. Earlier, Kitchee faced Vietnam representative many times in continental arena in which the latest time was the confrontation against Hanoi FC and brought a 3-2 win.

Kitchee owns up to 11 foreign players, 4 domesticated players. They once recruited successfully Diego Forlan on 2008.
