Issara Sritaro takes responsibility for U19 Thailand’s bad run in AFC U19 Championship 2020.

U19 Thailand is officially disqualified for the finals of AFC U19 Championship 2020 due to their two embarrassing defeats to Cambodia and Malaysia. They might blame for not having Suphanat in the Cambodia’s win but there should be someone responsible for the loss to Malaysia- coach Issara Sritaro. Right after the match, FAT announced that Mr. Issara Sritaro has resigned as head coach of U19 Thailand because of the bad run.

“First, I want to apologize all Thai fans for failing to help Thailand reach its goals. I took all responsibility for that. Thank FAT for their support during the past time. Thank U19 Thailand players for their effort and devotion for each match. Thank Thai clubs for their release of players.

And finally, I want to say that it is my fault so please don’t blame Thai players. I believe they will be the future of the national team. I made final decision for the team so I am responsible for that. Hope that you will encourage and support them in the future.”

Issara Sritaro led U19 Thailand after this team failed in the GBS Bangkok Cup 2019 right on its home soil. FAT expected the coach to lead the U19 team to the final of the U19 tournament. With what happened, Issara Sritaro's resignation is an understandable decision.
