After coach Park Hang-seo’s successful achievement in Vietnam, there is an increasing number of Korean coaches and experts comes and work in Vietnam. According to the latest news from Sport News (Korea), doctor Choi Joo-young has agreed to work in Vietnam.
Doctor’s representative confirms, “Doctor Choi Joo-young, after ending contract with Korea, has moved to Vietnam for work. He will work in Hanoi and takes over injury treatments as well as recovery plan for national players. He also is a coaching assistant in Vietnam NT’s internal meetings.
This doctor treated for many players such as Tuan Anh, Van Thanh, Van Toi, or Dinh Trong. His good relationship with coach Park Hang-seo was the reason he agreed to be the temporary doctor for Vietnam NT in ASIAD 2018, AFF Cup 2018 and most recently AFC U23 Championship.
He said, "Seeking new oversea challenge is not a big problem to me even when I am in this age. I have lived and worked oversea for more than 10 years so I get used to this. Until now, I think Vietnam lacks support from medical conditions. Therefore, I agreed to work here and hope that I could hand down all the knowledge and experience for Vietnam’s medical team".
