Thailand stars Chanathip and Theerathon appear in J-League 1 best XI

Thailand stars Chanathip Songkrasin and Theerathon Bunmathan were voted to the J-League 1 Best XI at round 20.

The star trio Chanathip, Theerathon and Thitipan Puangchan were praised by Thailand new head coach Akira Nishino to be the most important players in Thailand national team at World Cup 2022 second qualifiers. They all performed excellently at J-League teams this week.

Theerathon changed to left-back in the formation of Yokohama F. Marinos in their 2-0 win over Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe.


Meanwhile, Consadole Sapporo pulls off a 5-2 win over Shonan Bellmare, which Chanthip scored his fifth goal as well as the final goal at the 84th minute.

Former England player Jay Borthroyd scoring a brace for Consadole Sapporo  also appears in the Best XI, with defender Ryosuke Shindo.

Ykohama is placed 2th on the table with 39 points for 20 matches, 3 points less than the top team FC Tokyo. Oita Trinita ranks 5th, 32 points for 19 matches, Consadole sits 7th with 31 points after 20 matches.
