Thể Thao 247 - Mr Alexandre Gama said U23 Thailand’s board has full information about opponents in the upcoming U23 Asian qualifiers.

Only a few days left to matches in the U23 Asian 2020 qualifiers will be officially taken place. Group K promises to be a dramatic group with 4 teams’ participation in Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei.

In the tournament taking place next year, Thailand, with the role of host country, certainly have a ticket to U23 Asian Championship 2020. Therefore, the qualifying matches doesn’t matter much. The result is not important, but this is an opportunity to learn about opponents as well as to let Brazilian coach, Alexandre Gama examine the effectiveness of the tactics he is using.

To prepare for matches in the U23 Asian qualifiers, U23 Thailand only had 2 days of training in Thailand before leaving for Vietnam. In the final training session, coach Alexandre Gama also reluctantly cant bring two players, striker Ekanit Panya and defender Kevin Deeromram due to injury reason. Soon after, he added two other names, Kittipong Saensanit and Chotiphat Phumkaew.

Despite having some personnel and preparation time, coach Alexandre Gama still express his confidence: "U23 Thailand has enough information about the opponents. We encountered Indonesia U23 last month (Southeast Asia U22 final) and has failed, they are very strong opponent, just like U23 Vietnam. U23 Brunei is also a very promising team. I hope my players will perform well.

U23 Thailand’s technical committee has carefully studied the opponent's play. In contrast, the opponent also understands us very well. They all have excellent players, but Thailand U23 is still very confident.

Besides, U23 Thailand’s head coach also confirmed that U23 Vietnam has home advantage: "U23 Vietnam is a true candidate because they play in home field. U23 Indonesia is also very beneficial, but we will focus on each game. "

In the U23 Asian 2020 qualifier, Thailand will meet U23 Indonesia (March 22), U22 Brunei (March 24) and finally the most expected match against U23 Vietnam (March 26) respectively.
