Vietnam rival in the King’s Cup 2019 final will be Curacao- the team with many notable stars in its lineup.

After 2 matches kicking off, Curacao had a convincing 3-1 victory over India and Vietnam finished a 1-0 win over Thailand. Thereby, Thailand and India will compete for the third place and Vietnam vs Curacao go to the final.

This is the first time in the history for Vietnam to face Curacao, a team from CONCACAF. A strange team yet has notable stars.

Eloy Room

This is the number one goalkeeper of Curacao, currently playing in PSV Eindhoven FC. With an impressive 1.9 metters height, Eloy Room is like a "giant". Before joining PSV, Room had played for another Dutch club Vitesse and made a great contribution to bringing the first Dutch national cup in the history of this team (season 2017/2018). He was also called to Netherlands Under-20s, but later opted for the Curacao National Team.

Cuco Martina

Growing up from Feyenoord Club’s youth training academy, Cuco Martina has been Curacao’s leading right-back for many years. Martina used to serve many famous clubs in the Netherlands and in the Premier League like Twente, Southampton, Everton, Stoke City and Feyenoord. He was first summoned up to the national team in 2011 when he was only 21 years old and once participated in the Curacao squad to attend the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2017. Cuco Martina is also the captain of Curacao NT.

Leandro Bacuna

It can be said that Leandro Bacuna is the most famous player of Curacao. Leandro Bacuna started his career at the Groningen club, being known for his versatility when he was able to play well in many different positions such as central midfielder, right midfielder, right-back. He has won many Premier League and First Division English clubs including Aston Villa, Reading and most recently Cardiff City, the most successful time was when he played for Aston Villa (2013-2017). In here, Bacuna had a free-kick to hit Manchester City.

He was also called to the Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21s Netherlands but then chose to play for Curacao National team. In the opening match of King’s Cup 2019 , Bacuna set the 3-1 victory for Curacao over India.
