Thể Thao 247 - U18 Vietnam started the Jockey Club Championship Hong Kong 2019 by the 1-0 victory over U18 Singapore.
In this competition, U18 Vietnam opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation and quickly controlled the ball as well as pushed up the line-up into pressing style right after the whistle was blown.
While U18 Singapore was loyal to counter-pressing tactic.
Vietnam’s opponent gathered most of the forces to keep goal and made U18 Vietnam shooters hardly finish the ball.
Entering to the second half, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan used 5/6 substitution rights to give the youth players a chance to play on the pitch and create the difference.
Using the new formation, U18 Vietnam kept attacking forward U18 Singapore’s goal. However, in the 89th minute, captain Bui Tien Sinh kicked the ball from the penalty mark to bring back the 1-0 triumph for U18 Vietnam.
At the same time of the matchday, U18 Myanmar beat 2-0 the host U18 Hong Kong. As a result, Myanmar temporally leads the way in the table.
